THE OXFORD CERTIFICATE

IN LEISURE STUDIES

Am I qualified to take the Oxford Course in Leisure Studies? You must be at least 16 and have a satisfactory standard of English.

Who is the Oxford Leisure Studies Course designed for? The Course is designed for those: a) considering a career in Leisure; b) seeking a qualification with an international orientation; c) alredy employed in the industry who would like a relevant qualifications; d) interested in a course wich is both vocational and academic.

What sort of course will i follow? You will study a core unit of basic concepts in Leisure Studies and study an optional area in greater depth from a choice of two and prepare a practical report assignment.

How is the Oxford Leisure Studies Course assessed? The core unit is assessed by a written examination. The optional area is assessed by your prepared assignment. The examination is held in June each year.

How long does the Oxford Leisure Studies Course last? The Course requires about 100 hours.

 

Is the Oxford Leisure Studies Course full-time or part-time? The course could be studied on its own or with other courses by Training Centre-Florida Eskola (Distance Learning Course for the Training of UNESCO Leaders); so it might be part-time or full-time depending on your needs.

What qualification will I achieve? You will be awarded the Oxford Certificate in Leisure Studies if you are successful in the assessment.

What higher level courses could I take when I have the Oxford Certificate? BTEC National Diploma in Travel & Tourism or Leisure Studies, followed by a degree course in Travel & Tourism or Recreational Management.
